Local Band ‘Fuck The System’ Tops Spotify Charts After Securing Government Grant

Adelaide, Australia—Fuck The System’s new album “Sheeple Music” has gained over 75 million streams in just 24 hours.

Renowned for their anti-establishment stance, lead singer Black Sheep defended his position of accepting a government grant after fan outcry. “We bow to no one. Tell me one other Weavecore thrash metal band targeting government support? Fucking NO one!

Anyone comparing Fuck The System to Rage Against The Machine or System of a Down just doesn’t get our music. We’re more like a woolly jumper than an actual band. We put the grant toward buying a loom. You can hear it clanking its way into every track on the record. We’ve also been churning our luxury merino hoodies to sell directly to our fans.”

Marco Manix, a hardcore metal fan, says, “There are just so many layers to Fuck The System. Everything from socks and shirts—up to full-blown burly Norwegian cardigans.”

Yet, it hasn’t been an entirely smooth ride for Fuck The System. As part of their funding conditions, they were required to put on a community event. The subsequent Weave Peasants festival encountered rioting and destruction of the band’s entire loom gear by a group of Luddite activists. After an altercation with a protester, Fuck The System’s drummer was left hospitalised with a head injury after being struck by a giant ball of yarn.

Black Sheep laments, “The festival was a setback big time for Fuck The System. Although credit to the protesters, smashing machinery and filming it on their iPhones for content is exactly our ethos. Anyhow, we’re currently in negotiations with a local penitentiary. We will meet the growing demand for our apparel on time and under budget. With our exploding fan base and the penitentiary deal in place, we will never sell out—of t-shirts.”
